Get back your self-esteem in the bedroom again.

Vaginal atrophy is often left unnoticed, untreated.
About half of women after menopause experience symptoms of vaginal atrophy, but still hesitate to undergo treatment of so-called vaginal rejuvenation, for many reasons.
The treatment is suitable for women who suffer from feelings of dryness and pain during sexual intercourse and do not want to undergo surgery.

What Is Vaginal Atrophy?

Vaginal atrophy, or atrophic vaginal inflammation, is caused by decreasing level of estrogen most frequently during menopause. The decrease of estrogen level also results in a decrease in the number of cells in the mucous membrane of the vagina, the wall of the vagina becomes thinner, the vascular supply decreases and the wall of the vagina is so-called atrophic. The most common symptoms include dryness and pain during sexual intercourse (dyspareunia), inflammation of the vaginal wall. Vaginal atrophy may also cause symptoms of urinary dysfunction such as burning sensation and an increased risk of urinary tract infections.

Fortunately, women can undergo a modern laser treatment that improves the symptoms of vaginal atrophy, thus improving the quality of sexual life. RenovaLase® treatment developed by Fotona uses mild, vaginal and controlled overheating of vaginal tissue using a special laser. This generates multiple cellular responses, including one-third shrinkage of collagen fibers. This stimulates the formation of fibroblasts, collagen and blood vessels, which leads to increased circulation of the mucous membrane and increased blood flow. This method is tender and does not cause thermal or mechanical damage or peeling of the surface layers of the mucosa, which actually often lead to complications in conventional treatment methods.

Treatment

RenovaLase® is a patented laser technology for non-invasive photo retouching. The treatment takes about 30 minutes. Because of its non-invasive nature, no special preparation is needed before the treatment itself. A glass vaginal mirror is inserted into the vagina and a laser probe is inserted into the mirror. The vaginal channel and external genitalia are then treated according to the protocol. The treatment is similar to normal gynecological examination, it is painless, and the client can feel only increased heat. The client leaves home immediately after treatment and performs regular daily or work activities, but it is necessary to avoid excessive physical activity 24 hours after treatment. A 7-day sexual abstinence is recommended, no work-related incapacity is required.

Necessity is the previous gynecological examination, requiring negative cervical cancer (not older than 12 months) and negative cultivation from the vagina and urine (not older than 2 weeks).

For whom RenovaLase® treatment is not appropriate.

  • for women with inflammatory diseases
  • for women during menstruation, with bleeding of and around the genital organs of an unclear cause,
  • for women during pregnancy and during lactation

What is the result of this method?

The effect is usually fully developed within 6 months of treatment. To achieve the optimum result, it is advised to repeat the treatment 2-3 times at one-month intervals (4-6 weeks). Clinical studies have demonstrated a remarkable improvement in blood supply and strengthening of the vaginal mucosa as well as increased collagen production and vascular supply.
